Program Description

The tour starts with a morning boat ride on the scenic Madu Ganga River in Balapitiya, among mangroves, islets and cinnamon plantations. Next is a visit to the turtle conservation center in Kosgoda, where you can see young turtles and learn about conservation efforts for the species. Next on the agenda is a traditional mask workshop in Ambalangoda, showcasing the hand-carving of masks inspired by Sri Lankan mythology. Finally - a tour of Galle: a modern city and a UNESCO-listed 17th-century fort, the largest surviving colonial-era port city in Asia. Return to hotels.
