Program Description

An extraordinary journey to Yogyakarta – the heart of Javanese culture, set at the foot of the powerful Mount Merapi. Ahead of you are two days filled with history, spirituality and breathtaking landscapes.

On the first day, you will begin your adventure with a flight from Bali to Yogyakarta. After arrival, you will head towards one of Indonesia’s greatest landmarks – Borobudur, a monumental Buddhist temple listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable structure was designed as a mandala – a symbolic path to enlightenment. As you walk along its stone terraces, you will discover intricately carved reliefs and feel a sense of spiritual harmony that has attracted travellers for centuries. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel in Yogyakarta for an overnight stay.

On the second day, after breakfast, you will dive deeper into the local culture and history of the region. You will visit the Keraton – the Sultan’s palace, which remains the centre of Javanese cultural life to this day. It is a place where tradition blends with everyday life, and each hall tells fascinating stories of rulers and ancient customs.

Your next stop will be Kota Gede, famous for its silver craftsmanship. Here, you will see the remains of the former Sultan’s palace, the royal cemetery and a historic mosque – sites that offer insight into the rich heritage of the region.

Finally, you will discover Prambanan – one of the largest temple complexes in Indonesia. This impressive Hindu temple captivates not only with its scale but also with its intricate details – especially the statues of the gods Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. A walk among these monumental structures is like travelling back in time to the era of ancient Javanese kingdoms.

After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Bali.
