Program Description

Visit to the Botanical Garden of the Blandy family estate with captivating plants imported from around the world, arranged in the style of 19th-century English mansions. A drive to Pico de Arieiro - the third largest peak of Madeira (1818 m), from which, in good weather, you can see the crown of the island and the spectacular mountain landscapes. Next, a visit to the heritage park of traditional houses with thatched roofs in the village of Santana, followed by lunch. A final stop dedicated to admiring the cliff landscape of the peninsula of St Lawrence, vantage points with a panorama of Eagle Rock, the islands of Porto Santo and Desertas.

The guide was nice and energetic and told us a lot of interesting information about the history of the island during the trip. Unfortunately, the program was a little less interesting for us...
