Program Description
What was life like for Jewish communities in Poland over the course of a thousand years? Discover the story at the POLIN Museum in Warsaw, where history, culture and everyday life come together to tell the story of Polish Jewish heritage from the past to the present.
The museum is located on a site associated with the history of the former Warsaw Ghetto. Its permanent and temporary exhibitions explore different chapters of Jewish life in Poland, offering an insight into the heritage of Jewish communities and the changes they experienced over the centuries.
As you explore the museum, you will learn about different aspects of Jewish history in Poland, from everyday life and culture to events that shaped the lives of entire communities. The exhibitions present both historical perspectives and aspects of contemporary Jewish culture.
A visit to POLIN also offers an opportunity to look at the shared history of Poland and its Jewish communities from a broader perspective. The museum encourages reflection on history, mutual understanding and respect, connecting the past with the world today.
